An Ordinance
To Raise Supplies and Fix the
Tax Levy for the Town of
Kingstree for the Year 1914.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen
of the Town of Kings tree, S C.
in Council assembled and by the authority
of the same:
Section I. That a tax le\y of eighty
cents ($0.80) on every one hundred dollars
of all real and Dersonal property
within the limits of the Town of KingBtree.S
C, (not exempt by law) be and
the same is hereby levied to meet and
defray the current expense* of the said
Town.
Section II. That the tax herein pro
vided for shall be mado on the assessment
and valuation placed upon the said
property for the purpose of county and
State taxes.
Section IIL That the tax hereby levied
shall be due and payable on and after
the first day of Feb ruary.A D, 1914,
and that a penalty of on per cent(l%)
for the month of Merely A D 1914, and
a penalty, of two per eent (2%) for the
month of April, 1914, shall be added to
the said taxes for which said taxes have
not been paid after the first day of
March. 1914.
Section IV. That execution, as pro- 1
vided by law, shall issue for the collec- .
tion of all taxes herein provided for, to- '
gether with penalties as may be im- (
posed hereunder as hereinbefore pro- (
vided for, when said taxes shall not have
been paid within three months from the \
first day of February, A D, 1914. i
Section V. That all ordinances, or

hereby repealed.
