Those present and taking part in the programme were: Miss Edith Parrott, State agent for the girls' canning clubs, Winthrop college; Mr L L Baker, State agent for boys' corn clubs, Bishopville; Senator E C Epps, Representatives R J Kirk and R H Kellahan, of the eounty delegation; Messrs T Olin Epps.R N Speigner and L W Gilland, Esq, county board of education, and Miss Mamie McLees, county supervisor of rural schools. The question before the meeting for discussion was the organization of canning clubs in Williamsburg county,involving an appropriation oi $450.
