Benson, October 14:?A series of
services is being held at Cedar Grove
Baptist church by Rev WISinott, j
the Presbyterian minister of Central
church. The Baptist denomination
kindly consented for these services
to be held in their church for the
convenience of the Presbyterians
who live in this section.
The recent gale did considerable
damage to open cotton, and also to i
hay that was cut and stacked, by!
the high wind driving the rain-drops
into the body of the stack.
Miss Thelma Crooks has returned
from an extended trip to Greenville,
Newberry and Glenn Springs.
Mr Fred Guerry boarded the train
Friday, which has not been an unusual
occurrence of recent days,
ostensibly to his friends to visit a
lady acquaintance who is teaching
in one of the adjoining counties.
