Just for Convenience.
Entirely apart from the many
other advantages of a Personal
Checking Account at the
Bank, the convenience of it is
no small consideration. The
.... , i i
ability to make purcnases ana
pay bills after banking hours
without the necessity of always
having a pocketful of
money is worth a great deal.
With a Check Book in your
pocket, you are taking no risks
* of losing money and yet you
^ always have all of your money
on hand and ready for use.
One is as liable to need money
W before nine in the morning or
after three as between those
hours. The Personal Check
Book settles the matter.

We received Wednesday morning
not less than seven or eight articles
for publication?enough to fill up
one whole side of the paper. Now,
we are always glad to get these communications,
as they help us make a
readable paper; but to get up a page
of reading matter,or even a column,

print ten pages of the paper, besides
the worK of folding and mailing,is a
manifest impossibility, unless we
change our day of publication. At
top of editorial column we publish
every week a notice that communications
to go in the current issue
must be in our office not later than
Tuesday noon. Friends, won't you
observe this notice and help us to
get you the paper on time every
week? It is very hard work anyway,
this thing of getting out a paper in
August, and we do try to be accommodating, but
there isa limit and our
motto is "first come, first served."
We simply cannot get out a paper
the size of The Record in one day.

Deafness Cannot Be Cured
by local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased
portion of the ear. There is only one way to
cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies.
Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition
of the mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube.
When this tube is ir.Hamed you have a rumbling
sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely
closed.Deafness is the result, and unless the inflammation
can be taken out and this tube restored
to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed
forever; nine cases out of ten are caused by Catarrh.which
is nothing but an inflamed condition
of the mucous surfaces.
We will give One Hundred Dollars for any case
of Deafness (caused by catarrh) that cannot be
cured by Hall's Catarrh Cure. Send for circulars,
