Magistrate J A Haddock, one of the most highly respected citizens of Williamsburg county, died suddenly at his home at Morrisville Saturday last. He had been unwell for some time past, but was not thought by his friends to be in a dangerous condition and was able tc ride into his fields Friday. About a month ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and had been in feeble health ever since. Tor several years past he had served his district as a magistrate and filled the office in a rpost satisfactory manner. He was a good citizen and will be greatly missed by his host of friends. He was 42 years old; married and leaves a widow with five children. His remains were laid to rest in the Union church cemetery at noon Sunday in the presence of a large gathering of friends.
