Now Are The 1 Chile UaoI llonaamalla ta V lt?lo tfuuiauvt ucai vaiiyviuua ?vbiniv Ones Whose Bowels Are Neglected. A mother cannot do better for her children than to teach thenflfrom their earliest days regularity of the bowels. Regularity can be promoted without the child knowing it by watching its food and by so varying the food that all the elements of digestion are used when nature will do the rest. The future health of the child depends upon this. But try as you will there are times when the little one will become constipated and bilious. In hot weather immediate attention is necessary, as many serious diseases result from stuffed-up bowels. Don't give salts or cathartics or Durcatives. as thev are too harsh, but give a gentle, pleasant-tasting bowel stimulant like Dr Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin. It has been used by the children of this as well as a former gpneratien and thousands of families are proud to speak well of it, among whom we can mention Mrs Louise Reynolds, 909 Jackson St, Lynchburg, Va, who is glad to recommend it, and Mr Chas W Allen, Manor, Tex, who writes that Vaughn Appeals to U. S. Court. There has been filed with the supreme court a stay of remittitur in Jie case of Thurston U Vaughn of Jreenville, who confessed to intima :y with young girls under his charge irhile he was superintendent of the )dd Fellows' orphanage and was lentenced to death. The stay was granted so that the attorneys of Vaughn might appeal to the United States supreme court,on the ground hat the rights of their client had >een invaded by the change from langing to electrocution as the mode >f capital punishment for this State. Vaughn was tried at Greenville, rhe State put up an extremely trong case and Vaughn confessed he crime. He was sentenced to pay he extreme penalty of the law.
