IUC iUWKVM.*. dose last Friday evening after having been in a most pleasant session for two days. ? There were about seventy-five in attendance. Of the twenty-one pastore in the district, nineteen were present. An effort was made to have Bishop Kilgo to preside, but he could not come. Presiding Elder Holroyd, however, proved to be'a very satis'aafnra cnHot)tilfp 1CKWV1J uuw?? vw I The general state of the church throughout the district was found to be very incouraging. The district has never been in better condition. I About 98 per cent of the $3,700 assessment for missions has been collected, and the small balance is assured. Quite a number of new members have been added to the church rolls during the five months of the conference year. Messrs R M Lofton, J S Cantey,! Rev J 0 Carraway and A C Hinds, I Esq, were elected delegates to the; annual conference, which meets at i P?u4r Pill Nnvpmhpr 26 next. ^ The next session of the district conference will be held with' the Greelyville church next spring. > ' " Commencement at JotuioonvMle Johnsonvilte, May 3 5:?The annual commencement of Johsonville High school will begin May 23 and continue through Monday, May 26. Monday morning at 10:30, the address to the graduating class will be delivered by Rev E 0 Watson.
