Home Mission Week.
Rome, October 25:? The auxiliary
>f the Woman's Home Mission of
Jnion Methodist church met at the
lome of the president, Mrs L B
Johnson,Saturday, October 12. After
an interesting programme, refreshments
were served. Much interest
was manifested; the great
ivork of home rmssion seemed more
real. Efforts are being made to' advance
this cause in this community.
November 17-25 is to be home
mission week in America. This
movement should appeal to every
right-thinking person, for it will
consist largely of a study of the social
and religious problems of American
life. The American home-mission
enterprise is onecf the biggest,
broadest, bravest movements in the
United States, because it stands for
the physical, social, economic, intellectual
and religious welfare of all
the people. Home mission week is
an attempt to impress upon every
man and woman of the churches of
every evangelical denomination in
this country the supreme importance
:>f saving America for the kingdom
}f God through the established
agencies of the church. Everyone
is urged to unite with us in the observance
of this home mission week.
