The cause of tlv difficulty seems to *' a mystery ami by some the act is thought to be al-; ilost* wholly without provocation. .Morris has left for part- unknown md unless he concludes to surrcnd r his arrest is thought to be unikely in the near future. The usual verdict was rendered ?y the coroner's jury and warrant or the arrest of Morris was placed n the hands of the magistrate at )lar. The coroner reports that inclining the three negroes, who were ynched near Olar a few weeks ago, hat section of the county has the menviable distinction of nine homiides to its credit (or discredit) ince the Christinas holidays began. )f the victims six were colored and hree white.
