Thursday, January 25,1912, ft at his home near Gourdins, Mr F L Shirer, aped 58 years. His illness lasted only a few hours, the immediate cause of his death being acute UK indigestion. The deceased leaves a wife and eleven children, as follows: Mr F St J Shirer of Highland, Fla; Messrs W: - F C. C E, E S. Frank and Jack Shirer: Mrs M E Brunson, Mrs A W Cooper and Misses Maude, Nettie and Zouline all of whom reside in Williamsburg county, at or near Gouruins. Ht? also leaves one sister, 3 r- Mrs M I Slawson of Charleston. The funeral and interment took place Friday,January *6,at the family burying ground at St Stephens, Berkeley county, the services being conducted by the pastor of the deceased. Rev W T Bedenbaugh.
