affidavit of E B Rhodus, the plaintiff
herein, showing that the above entitled
action is brought for the partition and
sale of real estate situate in the county '
of Williamsburg, State of South Caro- '
lina, and that the defendant, Harps
McDonald, is an mlant 01 me age 01
nineteen years, and does not reside in
this State, but is now residing at Otter
Creek, in the State of Florida, and is
entitled to an interest in the. said real
estate; now, on motion of Lee & Fishburn,
attorneys for the Plaintiff: !
It ia ordered, that Edwin L Hirsch,
Esq, an attorney of this court, who i
is a suitable and competent person, be,
and he hereby is, designated and appointed
a guardian ad litem for the said
defendant. Harps McDonald, and as <
auch authorized and directed to answer
and defend the above entitled action on
his behalf, unless the said Harps McDonald,
or some one on his behalf, within
twenty days after the service upon
him of this order, shall procure to be
appointed a guardian ad litem for the
said Harps McDonald, defendant above 1
named.
It is further ordered, that this order f
rbe served upon the said Harps Mc- 1
Donald by publication of the same once 1
a week for six successive weeks in the
''County Record," a weekly newspaper

Upon all unpaid taxes after December
31 a penalty of \% will be added for
January, 1% "for February and 5% to
15th day of March next, after which the
books will be closed and executions issued
upon all unpaid taxes.
Those who desire to pay their taxes
through the mail would expedite matters
by dropping the Treasurer a postal
asking for the amount of their tax, so as
to avoid sending the wrong amount, also
stating the township or townships (if
property is owned in more than one)
and if possible give school district where
property is located; also state whether
poll or road tax, or both, are wanted.
After paying taxes examine your receipts
and see if all of your property is
oovered; if not, see about it at once.
By following the above suggestions
complications and additional cost may
