about as much lien law as we ever,
have had. The farmers can never
manage labor until everything that
looks like the lien law is wiped off i
the statute books. All that any

the balance of the year until time to

Winkle around. Twelve months ago
the whisky question was settled for
four years in Williamsburg county
?and 'tis to be hoped in the ent^e
State. If "Voter" wants a return of
whisky, we ask him to wait three
years more and by that time the is
sue will have been tested.
The devil has divided the people
these many years by eternally pushing
an issue, which will not be settled,into
the prejudices of mem
"Voter," for your sake and for
the sake of our county let us have at
least one Legislature in the interest:
of things worth while. Permit us to'
think upon a proper adjustment of |
taxes, upon good roads and upon
hiirher education of the people for
once, unmolested by whisky. Educate
our people and the whisky issue
will be settled and settled for
food, and it will not be settled before?you
can put that down. If'tis
prohibition you demand, "Voter," j
when you educate the people and.
build good roads then you will get
prohibition and not until then.
Perhaps "Voter" is a young en-'
thusiast just turned twenty-one. J

tigers", or he might get in good [
practice for the issue three years
lence, if there's one worthy hisj

Now,in all seriousness,we hope no
candidate will be so unstatesmanike
and so utterly deep-rutted in
things of the past as to try to bring
)ut the stale whisky issue in this
campaign. We have had enough
egislation on the whisky issue until
we try the laws made. We demand '
that our Representatives do something
for our roads and for our
;chools, touching not the wwlean
'him/?thp whiskv issue.
