preached in the Baptist church here

Miss Hite, the trained nurse
who was with Mr J M Myers during
his recent illness,returned to Charleston
Monday afternoon.
The New Zion Baptist church,
which was recently completed, was
formally dedicated Sunday morning.
Dr Derieux of Greenville conducted
the dedicatory sendees.
Mr Anderson of Timmonsville,
Miss Eawson of Charleston and s
lady from Elloree, whose name we
do not now recall, have been elected
teachers of the local graded school
for next term.

Governor Ansel has appointed
J J Morris of Lake City, R B Cannon
of Scranton, W E Nesmith of Cades
and J S McKenzie of Howes as commissioners
in the proposed annexation
of a part of Williamsburg, including

Scranton,to Florence county. Messrs
