DISB URSING IT-WHO ARE
ON ROLL.
The pension roll recently announced
by the State Board of Pensioners
reports $251,156 to be paid
out to the veterans of the State or
their widows. The roll shows an in*

number for this year being 9,554
as compared with 9,637 last year.
Checks to the clerks of court of the
various; counties have been sent out
and the hearts of the old Vets?some
of then, alas, too needy?are mrde
glad by this tangible token of appreciation
for their patriotism.
Clerk of Court Britton has the
money in hand for Williamsburg
county and is paying it out daily as
the claimants apply for it.
The amounts given under the different
classes are as follows: Class A,
$96; Class B, $72; Class CI, $48;
^ Class C2, $20, Class C3, $48, and
" Class C4, $26.
Spartanburg county draws the
