William Telmar, a negro living near St Stephens, came to Drs Gamble & Jacobs yesterday complaining of an old wound which was paining him. Telmar, it seems, was shot in the leg above the knee about eleven years ago and lately has had a sensation in his foot and toes as if they were threatened with paraly*sis. An operation disclosed a condition peculiar and surprising. When the incision had been made Dr Gamble found among the muscles of the thigh a kind of sac filled with a viscid fluid and in the sac was something that resembled a bullet in size and outline, but which when closely examined turned out to be a bean! The negro's assailant had shot him with a gun J charged with beans and one of , the missiles remained imbedded 1 in the leg for eleven years. Hoarse ( olds..
