NO LICENSE ON NEWSPAPERS. ublic Spirited Action Taken by City Council of Spartanburg. j The new city council seems to apreciate the newspaper. A newspaer is one of the greatest assets a jwn can have; its influence is not a ingible thing, but being subtle it is lost powerful. No city can afford to e without one. Tht advertising iven is of incalculable value to the Dinmunity. To place a license on ewspapers is, therefore, ridiculous, s well as lacking in appreciation. irre are glad to see that the new iuncil takes this view of thi matter ml has repealed the license imposed y the outgoing council.?Spartanrufj Spar/an.
