holiday season, which lasts on

The following is vouched for
as an actual occurrence by Postmaster
Jacobs: One day last
week a negro approached the
delivery window and asked: "Is
dis yuh a public pos'ottice?" lie
was informed that it was. "Kin
anybody git letters yuh?" was
the next question. Again he received
an affirmative reply.
"Den, gimme mine right out
yuh," he confidently demanded.
The "Judge" didn't tell us what
his reply was.
