Our new serial "The Man of

We are advised that at

last week's issue of The Record
was placed in the postoffice at
Kingstree on Friday morning.
We learn with sincere regret,
that Kingstree is to lose Mr J P
Taylor, who has been station
agent here for the past two
years for the ACL railroad.
It is not mere idle compliment
to say that Mr Taylor is one of
the best and most popular
agents that has ever been assigned
to this place. Patient,
courteous and capable, and a
polished gentleman withal, he

transferred to Marion, which is a
promotion in the line of service.
Mr and Mrs Taylor will be
missed in the social life of our
community. The best wishes
of a host of friends go with
them to their new home.

It is our constant aim to give
all the news in town and county
as fully as possible but we cannot
do this without help.
Friends, help us out by giving
us a news item whenever it
comes your way and let's have
a bright, readable local page
every week. Nothing contributes
more to the upbuilding
of a town or community than a
live local newspaper.
We are making a strenuous
effort to get The Recobd to our
readers within a reasonable time
after publication and we ask
the co-operation of the postmasters
through-out the county
to that end. We will take it as
a favor if any postmaster who
fails to receive the package of
papers at his office by Saturday
of the current week will promptly
report the matter to us in

may have the pleasure of welcoming

No woiider scores of Kingstree
citizens grow enthusiastic. It is
enough to make anyoi.e happy to
find relief after years of suffering.
Public statements like the following
are but truthful representations of
i the daily work done in Kingstree by
Doan's Kiduey Pills.
Mrs M S Montgomery, Railroad
Ave., Kingstree, S C., says: <4I can
recommend Doan's Kidney Pills in
return for the great benefit I have
received from their use. I had a lameness
across my loins and such severe
backaches that I could not turn in
bed. Mornings on arising, my back
would be so lame and sore that I could
hardly dress myself and it required
considerable effort for me to get abaut.
That my kidneys were out of order
was shown by the unnatural appearance
of the secretions. Doan's Kidney
Pills, procured from Scott's drug
store, not only banished the backache,
