IMDIANTOWN INKLINGS.
Death of Dr Brockington?Sunday
School Entertainment?Personal.
Indian town*, September 7:?
Little, big", young, old, black and
white are all talking about the
' flood", and, to tell the truth, it
looked one time Sunday morning
before day as if we would have
a flood of our own, from the way
it was raining here.
Mr R S Bell is quite sick at
this writing with a case of grip.
We wish for him a speedy recovery.
Mr Herman Carraway, one of
Georgetown's most popular
young men and a pleasant lad
withal, L visiting friends here
this week.
Mr Thomas McG'utchen, the
clever and a if able manager of
the Williamsburg Live Stock Co
of Kingstree. was with us Sunday.
He was "dear driving" instead
of liorse trading, however.
Miss Blanche Bell, formerly ot
this place but now of Georgia,
is 0:1 a visit to her old home
here. Miss Bell's many friends
were glad to see her again.
The Misses Dve of Charleston
are spending some time at the
home of Mr W Brockington.
Our community was saddened
last week by the death of one of
our best neighbors, Or .J R Brockinton,
who passed away at his
heme here Thursday evening.
Dr Brockington has been in failing
health for a long time, but
for the past few weeks seemed
to be improving and his friends
had begun to hope that he would
be restored to health. We extend
to the stricken family our
heartfelt sympathy in this their
d,ark hour.
It was the good pleasure of
the writer to attend the exercises
of the Morrisville Sunday
school Sunday nig-ht. I would
'ike to give theprogramme in detail
but time and space forbid.
Suffice to say the exercises were
grand and spoke wei.1 both for
the teachers and the scholars.
One of the best features of the
evening was a pantomime,
"Kock of Ages'', sung by Misses
Ida and Sadie Waldron and acted
by Misses Carrie Cooper,
Lillie Johnson and Kathleen
Graham. All of the other numKai-c
