She also said that he made an attempt to shoot her o but she made her escape and V went to a friend's house near by fi and got him to take her to Mrs d Morris Yarborough's. Her broth- t< er brought her to Scranton and bad Dr Lynch to make an exam- h snation and he states that Mrs s; Tilton is badly bruised from the licks that she received. It has not been but a few months, as ^ will be remembered since Tilton made an assault on a little girl ... .. , . w an this section, out tne parties dropped tlie^ matter and Tilton was released. But if there is ^ any law in South Carolina to s* . u protect a poor,innocent woman, he should be made to suffer for abusing his wife in such a man- sc ner. A warrant was sworn out for Tilton Monday but he has tc .skipped.
