Mr P A Hodges of Bennettsville, who, it will be remembered, was recently appointed by the South Carolina conference as financial agent of Columbia Female college, fi led the morning hour in the Methodist church last Sunday presenting the merits of South Carolina's principal female college under the auspices of the Methodist denomination. Mr Hodges made i a strong presentation of the claims of this institution upon the Methodists of the State and we understand that $500 was < subscribed to the college fund.
