he was laid up with grip some
two weeks, recovering sufficiently

under the firm name
of Rogers & Wells. The firm
has taken over the plant of Mr.

News, Va., has been electid
assistant cashier of the
Farmers and Merchants Bank
and is now at his post His
family will come on as soon as a
suitable residence can be secured.

and his family a most

have fallen in such pleasant

on Saturday, November
16, 1907, with flattering pros
pects of future success. Prof.
T Cooke Covington, of the Lake
City Graded school, was elected
president; Prof. ? B Hallman,
of the Kingstree Graded school,
vice president and Miss Nellie
Mae Montgomery, secretary and
treasurer. The executive committee
are as follows: Prof. P
P Bethea, superintendent of
Kingstree Graded school, Mr
J G McCullough, county superintendent
of education,
Misses Etta Jacobs and Nellie
Mae Montgomery.
