The , v chief features of the occasion were dialogues and recitations by the School. After these exercises were concluded came the hiding of about 250 eggs by the parents and visitors. Then the delightful time those children had hunting and Snding the eggs. Refreshments were served by the ladies present, of whom there was quite a number. The evening was delightfully passed, closing with a learnnd and impressive address by Mr J A Cook, his subi ect being, "The Relation be tweea Teacher and Pupils.". ^ li Mcnarlam. - Motts Beidgr, S C, April 21:? After an illness of several months Miss Lucile Brockinton quietly passed away. All that medical skill or kind hands and attention could do was done to stay th* hand of death, but to no avail. About 12:30 o'clock on Sunday, April 16, the death auael took her gentle spirit from this world of woe to its home in the celestial city above to f<he with the God who gave it. Lucile was indeed a lovely girl?kind, loving, obedient and loved by all who knew her. We shall lot only mils her gentle voice and loving smiles in onr homes and around our fire-sides,-but in onr chnrch and Sanday-school there will be a vacant jriste; for though young she was a Christian, true and devoted to her church and Suoday-school. She was a daughter of Mr and Mrs B F Brockinton, formerly of Williamsburg county. She leaves a father anu mother, seven sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure.
