He was a son of Mr and Mrs 0 J Holt, who recently moved here from Steadman,N C. His remains was taken to Steadman this morning- for burial. Mr 0 B Carter, a progressive merchant of this place, spent a few days this week with relatives and friends in Darlington. At tne regular Convention of Scranton Lodge 114, Knights of Pythias, held on Friday night Past Chancellors W S Lynch and W B Gause were elected delegates to the Grand Lodge, which meets at Beaufort on May 16th. Dr W S Lynch was also ^ elected Deputy Grand Chancellor of Scranton Lodge. Miss Minna Gasque, who has been teaching the graded school at Hannah, in Florence county, passed-through town Saturday on her way to her home in Florence.
