Very Human Indeed.
Two orang outangs in Paris have
acquired a taste for mulled claret.
One of them, named Virginie, made
her keeper anxious by coughing. So
he tried the effect of a hot potation.
Virginie drank, rolled her eves expressively
and began to mend. Her
cough ceased, and so did the mulled
claret. This did not please Virginie
at all. She pondered awhile and
' then had a brilliant idea. The cough
, began again, but it wa; so plainly
I artificial that the keeper smiled.
Everybody smiled. Virginie's companion,
Frascator, entered heartily
into the joke by toughing on his
