BETHLEHEM UNION.
Proceedings of Meeting Held in Kings
*- tree Baptist Church Nov. 27-29.
Pursuant to previou* appointment
the Bethlehem Union, met
in Kinggtree Baptist church on
Friday, November 27. The appointee,
Rev T J Rooke, not being
present, Rev J W Truluck was
asked to preach the introductory
sermon. He responded with
power ana eloquence, his text being
taken from Corinthians, II:
9-10.
The former moderator, Rev E
W Hicks, being absent, Brother
Edwin Harper was called to the
chair and the Union was organized ,
with the following churches represented:
Bethel 1, Cades 2, Kingstree 5,
Scranton 2, Param 1, Turkey Creek
1. The organization was then
made permanent.
The programme wa9 then read
and put in the hands of W L Wal
" lace and B H Myers, two members
of this church, who were appointed
commitee oo business for this
meeting. They announced preaching

sports, visited the "City on the
Sanipit" last Friday.
One afternoon last week, while
crossing Campbell Swamp bridge,
Mr J C .Josey's horse became
irightened and ran away breaking
the buggy; but 1 am glad to say
that our old frlenJ escaped unhurt. '
This makes the third run-away Mr J
Josey has had within the last two
years, but so tar he has not been :
hurt. I
The young men of this community
are going to have a touru- \
ament near Dock po>t-office on
Christmas day. They anticipate {,
