It is covered with nearly 20l) brillihnt scarlet blossoms, each one perfect in itself. We have never seen a finer specimen of its kind than this rare exo uc. At the present terra of court Judge R C Watts has well sustained the impression made here on the previous occasions when ;ie officiated aspresiding judge. His charges to the jury are clear, comprehensive and easily intellig'ble even to the lay mind; his rulings are prompt and unbiased, showing a profound knowledge of the law and a high sense of the responsibility of his position. Marshal Clark, accompanied by Mr J F June, carried oneofthe Kitson lights to Kingstree last .week, where it was 011 exhibition a few nights. The object was to dispose of the surplus lights to our sister town. Manning invested in 12 of these lights, and since contracting for elec r e lights, has not had occa> ion to use all of her Kitson lights, hence the desire to sell part of them.
