News and Courier's staff, died

easily drained and the dirt is as /
good as can be found anywhere |
for road-building. /
Why then can't we we fall in f
line with our sister counties and (
call a mass-meeting, inviting j
some prominent speakers, say (
Senator Latimer or Senator Till- I
man, or others that might be (
naned, to be present, who could I

would be helplul in commencing
this very important enterprise?
It does seem to me that if our
people could only realize the
vast hoard of wealth that is locked
up in the fertile soil of old Williamsburg
it would not be long
before we could show to the world
that our fair land is the garden
spot of South Carolinun. And in
my humble judgment the quickest
way to bring about the de- |
sired developements in our inidst
is to first build good roads and
second, good schools.

from you. Time is moving and
we cannot afford to wait. I am
with you in anything for the
upbuilding of old Williamsburg.
