The Great Exponent of the Cult
Thus Compares It.
Senator B K Tillman ami Congressman
A F Lever spoke at Bishopvilte
la.st Friday. On the way
from Columbia to BisliopvilleThursday
afternoon the Senator, chatting
with a party of friends, remarked
- that when he received the invitation
to the "baby" county he hesitated to
accept, as then- were absolutely no
issues to discuss. But the committee
replied that they had Wn
V voting for him down there for
about thirteen years and a great
many of tifce voters had never seen
him. "When they pfit. it that way",
ho added, "of course there was no
uch thing as refusing."
Continuing his remarks Senator
TBI man said that some one hud told
him recently that certain {wople Ik>lieted
that Tillmunism was dead in
South Carolina. As to tins ne nan
to rn that "Tilhnanism was like
nut-grass. 'You've got to stir it up
like h?1 to get it to grow good."
if? Senator Tillman seems to be in
the best of health and spirits and
has apparently lost none of his old
% , time vigor of speech.

S. CM will begin on Sunday,

Terry, D. D., pastor of iiartsville
Baptist church, will be present
and help in the meeting? We

Morris vi lie, 8.
July 14,1903.
BRUTALLY TORTURED.
A case came to light that for persistent
and unmerciful torture has
perhaps never been equaled. Joe
Golobick of Colusa, Calif, writes:
"For 15 years I endured insufferable
pain from Rheumatism and nothing
relieved rae though I tried everything
known. I came across
Electric Bitters and it's the greatest
medicine on earth for that trouble. A
few bottles of it completely relieved
and cured me." Just as good for
Liver aod Kidney troubles and general
debility. Ooly 50c. Satisfaction
guaranteed by W L Wallace, Druggnist.
Dogmatism knocks at a lawyer's
door; catastrophe#usbers him in.
Another case of "didn't know it
was loaded"?the gooso with the
golden brick.
Whom the gods hate is hissed
off the stage.
A wise plan, like salt Sal men,
should soak a good while.
