The Lake City school opened Monday. The two teachers are Rev and Mrs W W Saddler. The ^enrollment was quite satisfactory 1 and albiirs moved off smoothly. One person in every four has a weak heart. Unless promptly treated a weak heart will easily become a diseased heart. A,little extra strain from any cause is sufficient to bring on this deadly maladv, the most common cause of suddtn death. t>r. Miles' Heart Cure will tone up the heart's action, enrich the blood , and improve the circulation. "My trouble began with catarrh and I have | always supposed it caused the trouble I have ! experienced with my heart. I had the usual symptoms of sleeplessness, lost appetite, constipatior, palpitation of the heart, shortness of breath an a pain around the heart and under left arm. My mother suffered in the same way and I suppose mine was an inherited tendency. At one time I was in agony. I suffered so severely and became so weak that my doctors said I could not live thirty days. At this time I had not slept over two hours a night on account of nervousness. The least exercise, such as walking about, would bring on palpitation and fluttering of the heart so severe that 1 would have to give up everything and rest. Nerve and Liver Pills cu-cd me of constipation and heart symptoms disappeared under the influence of Dr. Miles' New Heart Cure. I am in better health than I have been in twelve {ears and I thank Dr. Miles' Remedies forit. think they are the grandest remedies on earth and I am constantly recommending them to my friends."?Mas. A reference to take testimony was held here Saturday in the case affecting the stock law exemption embracing portions of Williamsburg and Florence counties. \V II Wells Esq., is the referee. Mr W F Clayton represents the parties attacking the law. He was the only attorney present on the case. This matter lias beeii in the courts some months and certain questions * ? l 1 I 1 raised nave aireauy neen passeu upon by Judge Purdy. The particular point receiving attention Saturday is whether or not the fence enclosing the exempted portion has been altered from its original position. Second crop snap beans are now on tlie market. In one of ou r groceries we saw a lew days ago some made right here that were as tine as first crop beans. With our soil, climate and better drainage we can have fresh vegetables the year round. It is becoming a common thing for some of our irncki-M-s 'n make two crons of beans, potatoes and tomatoes. It is especially easy to make a second crop of tomatoes. The entire process consi.-ts of taking cuttings from the old bushes, sticking them down at proper distances and watering a lew days, if the season be dry. .Mr J 1' Philips has a tine second crop just now coming to maturity. Mr A P Johnson is bringing larire, luscious and fresh ones every day. There is no land beneath the sun more richly favored by providence than our own.
