in the last primary. I know there

WldlWi) VUV VUVl VW Maw aw^ww ? - , , . .
I do, and I have in a very substan-;
tial way proven this to them time
and again.
Now, I am not coloring this up
with an eye single to the next time,
for I have fully decided, and said so
before the first primary, that I would
never again become a candidate for
any office in the gift of the people.
With clean hands and a clear conscience,
with no ill will for any one
but the best of feelings for my successful
competitor, and the best
wishes towards all,
I am, very respectfully,
J. D. Daniel.
Card of Thanks.
Editor County Record:?
Please allow me the use of your
columns to express my cordial and
appreciative thanks to the many
friends who in the recent primary
expressed their approval of my
course as a member of the House of
Representatives by re-electing me to j
that position. I shall in the future,
as in the past, endeavor to serve my
county to the best of my ability, ac- ,
cording to the lights before me, and (
leave nothing undone that will sub- i
serve the best interests of my constituents.

stated, run within 150 yards of a
church. The stock of the "cotton |
trap" consists of one barrel of wine,
one barrel of cherry wine and is run I

in the recent primary. I beg to assure
them that I shall endeavor to

to them a spotless commission when
it is required of me.
