Kditor County Record: My attention has jusi been called to a better in The Weekly Mail, signed 1<A Private in the Ranks", in which my name, as well as several others, is mentioned as a probable candidate tor the "? - - J r \ tifMi Senate to succcea i;r. wimams. I beg to advise through your columns that I have no political aspirations; and that if I did have. I would not oppose Dr. Wiiliams lor the senate, or for any other office for which he might announce himself. I hope that Dr. Williams will in the near future announce himself a candidate for re-election, and I believe he will be elected to succeed himself by a very handsome vote. Dr. Williams has made a most acceptable senator, and has devoted his time and ability to the affairs of the county, tie has always done what he thought was for the best interests of his constituents, and a close search of the records will show that Dr. Williams' vote in the senate has always been on the right side. I think that he should be sent back to the senate and hope he will have no opposition. Yours *ruly, Thomas Wilson. Cades, S. 0., May 3,19*2.
