The smallest restaurant in Baltimore, and probably in the country, is i oca tod on Grant street, near Baltimore, tmdor the shadows of The News building. Its proprietor is Norman W. Tumblinson, aged 22 years, whose father has a larger plaoe on Baltimore street. He caters only for the trade of the newsboys, and does a thriving bnsiaess in 3 cent lunches and cheap ticklers of the palate. The restaurant is in a small frame room, attached to the building on the west - J -s n -* a. a -1 * nf\ uaeoi uraut eiree*, auu is auuu? ?v icsi long and a yard wide. Formerly it waa seed as a bootblack stand. Yonng Tumbliuson secured permission about eight months ago to open a stand in the place. Ho bad it thoroughly cleaned and painted inside and out, and then erected a small counter, leaving barely enough room to walk about. Next he secured three oil stores, and then hung out neat placards announcing bis opening. The newsboys took him into tbeir hearts, and many odd pennies fell in bis way. At first he sold xpilk hnir?B and randr. cakes and sand* wiohes, bat he now furnishes a lunch for 8 oents for newsboys only, including soup, choice of beef, liver or pork, with mashed potatoes and pickled beets. Coffee is 1 and 3 cents a cup, cheese sandwiches 1, 8 and 8 cents, ham sand-, wicbes 1 cent, soup 3 and 5 oents *. bowl, and other things in proportion. The newsboys syvear by the restaurant; keeper because he jokes with them and often feeds a poo' and hungry waif* for nothing.?Baltimore News. Two Shades. Two misty shades met in Illimitable space.
