Dr. Eaddy. we wish abundant saccess
in his new heme.
We had the pleasure ot shaking
hand* with our esteemed friend,
Mr. N. M. Venters, last Saturday.
Mr. Venters was in town only a
few hours on business and we regret
that his greeting was necessarily
so hurried. However, we
hope to hate the pleasnre of seeing
him again soon.
On Wednesday night, Feb. 2$,
the store of Mr. B. L Guess, near
Greelevville, whs broken iuto and
lobbed by a negro named Tom
Brown. Brown was tracked from
the store to his heuse, about two
and a half, by the print ot his 1
wigon wheels. He confessed bis
guilt after being arrested,. itnpli->
eating several others.
Mr. Jasper King looked in on
us pleasantly while in town Saturday,
taking advantage of the
opportunity to shove up his figures

mill business and will settle down
to farming. He has built a nice
