I Tuesday night on train 23. The
fads of Mr. Player's trial and conviction
are familiar to the public.
Some time ago a petition
signed by hundreds of people, not
only Williamsburg but also in
[ Clarendon and Florence counties,
was prGseuted to the governor
asking that his pardon be granted,
j The solicitor and the jury of co?victien
signed the petition but
[the governor would not act
in the matter without the signature
Judge Watts, before whom
the case was tried. Until Tuesday
Judge Watts withheld his
signature, but on that day LeRoy

SAVED HIM FROM TORTCRE.
There is no more agonizing trouble
than piles. The constant itching and
burning make life intolerable. No
nosition is comfortable. The torture is
unceasing. DeWitt's Whitch lla/e]
I Salve cures piles at once. For skin diseased,
cuts, burns, bruises, all kinds of
wounds it is unequalled. J. S. Gernll,
iSt. Paul. Ark., says: "From 18051
suffered with the protruding, bleeding
piles and could lind nothing to help
me until I used DeWitt's Witeh Hazel
Silve. A few boxes completely cured
me." Beware of counterfeits. D. C.

THE LAST HEARD OF IT.
"My little bey took the croup one
night and soon grew so bad you could
hear him breathe all over the house,"
says F. D. Reynolds, Mansfield, O.

doses of One Minute C ough Cure qkkly
relieved hiru and he went to sleep.

Now isn't a cough cure like that valuable?"
One Minute Cough Cure is absolutely
safe and acts immediately.
For coughs, colds, croup, grip, bronchitis
and all other throat and lung
troubles it is a certain cure; very ploasant
to take. The little ones like it. D.

CLERK'S WISE SUGGESTION.
"I hare lately been much troubled '
with dyspepsia, belching and sour
stomach," writes M. S. Mead, leading 1
pharmacist of Attleboro, Mass. "I
could eat hardly anything without suf- i
fering several hours. My clerk suggested
I try Kodol Dyspepsia Cure
which I did with most happy results.
I have hud no more trouble and when
one can go to eating mince pie, cheese,
candy and nuts after such a time, tlieir
digc-tion must be pretty good. I endorse
Kodol D.-?popsia Cure heartily,"
