VETERANS MEET.
Reunion of the Survivors of Co. G,
16th S. C , Regiment, at Indiantown
Church.
After a sermon and appropriate
Services conducted by Rev. F. H.
Wardlaw, at which about sixteen
veterans Were present, there was
held as appointed, a meetingin the
open air?'n camp style?of the
survivors of Co. G., 15th S. C.
Regiment, C. S. A. The meeting
being called to order informally,
this scribe was requested act as
secretary Veteran J J Brown
than proceeded to call and have
verified a roll which he had prepared
and had printed last year.
Alter these ten ^-school boys"
had taxed their memories the roll
was called over and verified to
their mutual satisfaction. It was
found that out of a total of 112
names originally there were only
30 survivors, veteran J McBride
Graham having died since the
meeting.
There were present at the reunion
the following: J R Cox,
W B Haselde?. Wesley Hughes,
W S Eaddy, C A Gaskius, J C
Gaskins, Dr. J A James, H H
Kinder, John Thompson and
Leonard Venters, making a total
of 10 out of the 31 theu living.
After the informal meeting
came a short address of welcome
by Mr. Hugh McCutchen, in
which the veterans were invited
10 hold their meeting annually, it
they so desire, at Indmntown
church.He then introduced Dr. J.
A. James, of Cheraw, as the
speaker of the occasion. Serve
