occasion Hans Richter was present at
a concert given by a brother composer

came to an end Richter expressed his

Anderson Cotton Mills of Monticello,
Ark., writes as to the progress made on
the plant, recently reported. The buildings
are all completed and the machinery
is in place. Main structure is
7Gx234 feet, two stories high;' engintroom
is 50x40 feet, and boiler-house is
40x40 feet; these structures cost $2G,- i
500. Cost of the machinery was $5S,0oo.
The equipment Is comprised of the j
most modern machinery throughout,
including 5000 spindles and full accompanying
apparatus for the production
of sheetings and osuaburgs, about 100
operatives to be employed. C. C. Hadriek
of Lowell. Mass.. was the architect
for the plant, and the Lowell
Machine Shops, with which he is connected,
furnished the principal textile
machinery. The total investment of
capita! is $100,000.
