Military Ordered Out.
Montgomery, Ala.. Special.?Governor
Jelks Wednesday ordered the
military company at Troy to proceed
at once to Ozark to protect Pharaoh
Pavrnmore, a negro, lrom being
lynched. Parramore is charged with
having committed an assault on a
white woman. He was captured and is
in the Dale county jail. The call for
the military aid was sent to the Gov

reliable citizen' of Ozark to assist
him ia guarding the jail. The negro
will he brought to Montgomery

near .Morehead City. N. C. It is a "porpoise
factory," and utilizes the porpoise
for various purposes. The skin is suitable

reports from the Baby Mine cdsdster
at Pocahontas. Va.. state that it was
mHch more serious than at first was
supposed. Up to noon Friday, nine
bodies had been recovered and U is believed
15 more are in the fuming mine.
Firemen from surrounding towns have
bc;en asked to aid in subduing the
flames. That part of the Baby Mino
where the explosion:; occurred is on the
Virginia side. The main entry of this
mine is six miles in length and extends
over into West Virginia. The work of
