Coast Line in a suit for lost goods,
but the ease was postponed.
S. M. Askins showed us a pear
a few days ago that was raised in
his garden. It weighed exactly tvro
pounds. Who, if any ene, can beat
that? It was certainly a monster.
Quite a good many of our people
went dowa to Kingstree last week
to "take in" the circus. We hope
jKrae of them were "taken in" by
the circus gamblers. The gambling
feature of late years overshadows
all other features of the traveling
show, and very often the unsophisticated
are literally fleeced by the
sharpers.
M. L. Overstreet is our new railroad
agent. Me took charge a few
