At 6:25 a. m., last Sunday Mr.
?harles Lesesne died at his homo
about two miles from Greeley
ville, alter an illness or two weeks.
While his death seemed inevitable,
yet when the end canae it was
a shock lo everyone. The writer
was present when the sad event
was being discussed in a crowd of
a half dozen men in town last
Monday and every one among
them paid some tribute to the
kind heart and nfhle qualities, ot
the deceased.
Mr. Lesesne w?i9 6f years old.
He was horn and raised in this
county, which, never had a truer
son., When the "var broke out he
enlisted(in the 25th JKulajv legiraent

service. He kept well informed
