We have had one of the worst j

Corn in this section is a failure,
as our corn is made in June. Cotton
especially the early had quit
growing bat if the rains continue
during this month there will be
good, crops made. Only four or
five counties are so badiv affected
by the droubth, but ours, unfortunately,
is one of them.
I attended a barbecue on the
Fourth in Cornet, the county seat,
of this (Burnet) county, and there
I saw tlie largest gathering of people
