* Last Friday night there was a
festival and dance at the new warehouse
for the benefit of the base- :
'ball team. The boys want new uniforms.and
it was to assist in making;
up funds for that purpose that this
entertainment was given. The!
rowd in attendance numbered:
some three or four hundred. The i
warehouse is so hi# that it vras dif-,
f .ticult to make e.ven an estimate. It;
was not full?no. not quite; but a*
good many were there, Lemonade, ! <
ice crettui and coke wore served at (
tables aeross the eastern end of the
house. The Kingstree string band ,
was in attendant e, and those,
wht.J wished indulged in the delights

town in base ball as Well as in
other things. We had good teams,

it numbers among its members'

capable of attaining high rank, yet:

care manner, neglecting to train
and permitting itself to be beaten
by every club with which it played. I
