We hud one Thanksgiving dinner
that has a somewhat amusing history,
so far as the date is concerned,
connected with it. It was given on

one day was necessary to their

to Lake City on Tuesday. The
gang went on to Bass' Bridge

The reason for going to Bass' bridge j
before doing the work here is that j
Lynch's river is now down and the
work required cult he done only at

A certain negro has been giving
a good deal of trouble and annoyance
in the Gaskins neighborhood |
lately. On Saturday night he went,
to Mr. Ira B. Gaskins' where Mrs. |
Gaskins and Mrs. Cornelius Baker I
trere alojte, and knocked, walked
the piaeza,stamped upon the floor
and made himself generally noisy
and obtrusive, until one of thej
ladies fired a gun, when the scamp !
walked off. When Messrs. Gaskins j

but could trail him no farther than
