railroad station from its present

At Rest.
Yesterday afternoon, about 3.30i
o'clock, just as our lorin? were
being made up. came the news
that Mrs. Virginia Lee, relict of
the late \V\ J. Lee. had breathed
her last. With the time and space
at onr disposal it is impossible to
do justice ?o the gentle, Christian
woman, who for many weeks has
suffered a mortal illness with meek

her Savior, to whom her pure
spirit has fled.
In her death our community
has sufltred the loss of one whose
sweet and refining influence was
leit in every circle. As a friend
and neighbor there was none better;
as a. consistent Christian her
life has left an impress which will
keep her memory sweet and hal
lowed in the hearts of all who
knew her; while at the portals of
the celestial kingdom her greetiug
will be: ''Well done, thou good
and faithful servant; enter thou
into the joys of thy Lord."

Esther and Lillian Benjamin, were
led to the hymeneal altar by Dr.
W. S. Lynch and Hoxie G. Askins,
Esq., the wedding ceremony being
performed by no less a personage
than ilij Excellency, Gov. Miles
B. MolSweenev. % At the spacious
and hospitable ^ome of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Jacobs, the wedding
party and their friends gathered a
short time before 4 o'clock p. m..
the hour set tor the ceremony.

Midsummer Night's
Dream, four little tlower girls,
Misses Thetis Stackley, Adelaide
Harper, Ada Brockmton and Florence
Jacobs, strewed the way with!

Governor McSweeney proceeded
with the ceremony, solemnly and
impressively speaking the words

Miss Esther Benjamin; the second

first and Mr. Askins and Miss Rose

with a prayer by the Governor.
The sister-brides were dressed
nearly alike, in white organdie,
trimmed with chiffon, embroidery
and lace.
