at this place were given an
Easter erg-hunt on last Friday afternoon
at the residence of Mr. W.
J. McKuight. There was quite a
large crowd in attendance and the
occasion was enjoyed by both old
and young.
Mr.lt. II. Fitlman, who was
married in Camden on the 4th
inst., took his bride to Augusta.
Ga., lor a few days, returning on
last Monday to Gourdins, where
they will make their home. We
wish them a long and happy life.
At the regular communication
of the Masonic lodge held here on
last Saturday night Messr>. K. II.
and (J. L. I'iltman were initiated
into the mysteries of the first degree
ol Masonry. There were several
visiting brethren present from
Foreston and Manning lodges.
The farmers are still busy planting
cotton. Some of the first planted
is coming up. We are glad to
see that the recent cool snap has
no! damaged the fruit crop.

spent Sunday in Georgetown at
the home of Mrs. Itehrruann's parents.
Mrs. B. K. Clarkson is visiting
