The pic nickers then adjourned to Mr. Chandler's house, where dinner was served. An excellent repast had been prepared by the good ladies present, to which ample justice was done by everyone. 7 *7 * m Indiantown Inklings. Our section is favored with an 'excellent crop prospect. Editor County Record: Your correspondent h?d t he pleasure of attending a moon liglii picnic at Hon. John $ Graham's on the evening of Aug. 2, which as an occasion of enjoyment. deserves more than a passim: mention. Ar. riving at Mr. Graham's in company.! j with Mr. Avant, on the evening in question, we found a crowd ol young people already assembled, ; and with the lawn well lighted up i and decorated for the occasion, the scene was like a glimpse of lairyland. The young ladies present. than whom none are to be lound more captivating, moved to and fro in the mellow, witching moonlight, reminding one of a tropical scene where beautiful birds in beautiful plumage moved- j about under a moonlight sky. Seats were comfortably arranged for those who might wish to do homage at Cupid's shrine, and there were many fx ho felt thusj disposed. Others enjoyed games j of various kinds till supper wasj announced. The table was not oalv loaded, but fairly groaned with delicacies tit for an epicure. The hospitality of the LSIack Mingo people cannot be excelled and those who availed themselves ot it were not lacking in appreciation. For pretty girls that vicinity is J most highly favoied, and the young j men saw that allot' theui received their share oi attention. The Misses Graham, Miss Cook and their assistants are to be congratulated upon the complete sue cess of the affair, toward the enjoyment of which they so largely contributed. Another most pleasant feature of the evening was the delightful music rendered by Mrsj George Cost in, Miss Moliie Graham and Mr. Lawrence Steele. 0. _ The largest of rr ?' straw and tolt hats ever \ in Lake City at rock bottom prices j *tS.
