W hat Kind afTa Animal is It?
Our Sumter contemporary, the
Watchman and Southron, says that
thorc is an ordinance in force in that
town that prohibits any dog, puppy
or other animal resembling a dog
from running at large on the streets.
We would he very glad to know
what kind of an animal it is that
resembles a dog and that roams the
streets of Sumter and that bites and
molests the folks of our sisttrtown?
Our Sumter friends must intend go
ing into the menagerie business when
they import a new kind of brute that
no one lias ever heard of before. They
ought to be more careful as this new
and strange animal may, when it in
crease in numbers, prove as great a
pest us the rabbits in Australia We
were certainly under the impression
that there were enough dogs in our
section, and every breed of them t hal
was ever heard of, and we. eonfes:
our inuhilily Yo understand the ne
cessity of having an animal that looks
like a dog. It is very earnestly to be
tcitor.
