Sunday School at the Factory.
Three weeks ago a Sunday School
was organized at the Factory Hall
with about forty members. The
membership has been rapidly increas
ing and, on last Sunday, reached one
hundred in number. Unusual in

School by both old and young, which,
of course, is very gratifying to those
who wish to see such an undertaking
succeed. The following are the offi

The March of the Weed.
Despite the hard times Darlington
is still moving on and the latest en
terprise is an application fora charter
for a tobacco warehouse to be located
here. Messrs. E. Keith Dargan, J.
J. Ward and Bright Williamson
are the corporators. The capital stock
is $10,000 acres of land will lie
planted in tobacco in this County,
and this will be a considerable help
in the way of reduci ig the cot
ton crop. A good season with the
weed will give us a factory for its
manufacture.
The other enterprises needed are
another hotel, iron works and an ice
factory. If any town in the State
has more enterprising and public
spirited citizens, than some of the
business men of Darlington, we
would be glad to give it our sincere j ou M<
