Mr. (icorge M. Kilgore, of Marts-
ville, aged 41 years, died from the
effects of heart disease on the 7th
inst.
Hon. Giles J. Patterson, one of
the most prominent citizens of the
State, died in Chester last Sun
day.
Despite the hard times, there are
four brick stores in course of con
struction on "i'earle Street, which,
when finished, will add very much to
the appearance of the business part
of that street

Mrs. Nancy Wilson, near this place,
a lady of eighty-six years, had a few
days ago, a stroke of paralysis, and
her friends had to call in Dr. Cole.
This is the first time during her long

firm for a number of years, ami is
very popular in Darlington.
Thev will engage in the brokerage

sorry to lose them but wish them
