“Some years ago Ayer’s Cherry
Pectoral cured me of asthma after
the best medical shill had failed to
give me relief. A few weeks since,
being again troubled with the disease,
I was promptly relieved by the same
remedy.”—F. S. Hassler, Editor
Argus, Table Rock, Nebr.
The system is rendered malaria-
proof when the blood is kept pure
and vigorous by the use of Ayer’s
Sarsaparilla. At this season, all
should have this admirable prepara
tion at hand. Malarial jioisoii is
harmless wneu Ayer’s Sarsaparilla
is used.
The itching of the scalp, falling
of the hair, resulting in baldness,
are often causetl by haudrnff, which
may be cured by using Hall’s Hair
Renewer.

•
As several inquiries have bmi re
cently addressed to me in regard to
the disease that is killing so manv
cattle in this county, I give you
herewith ntv experience with the dis
ease. It appears during the months
of June, July, August, September,
and sometimes in October. The animal
when taken sick refuses to eat,
separates front the other cattle, drops
its bead, the pulse is quick, fever
high, urine red, and before death al
most black.
In order to cure this fearful and
most fatal disease it must be taken
in its incipiettoy—if Where is any de
lay death will surely follow. One
must watch his cattle, and the mo
ments he descries a cow refusing to
eat he most cotnniense with the ntetli-
cine, which is as follows:
Epsom salts’ll lbs. dissolved in 1
quart of water and used as a drench
—repeat the dose every 2 hours until
the bowels are moved freely; then
give sweet spirits pure 1 drahm;
acetate potash 2 drahm; water 1 pint;
mix; give in drench every 6 hours,
(live fiO gr. quinine every 3 hours
during the day. After the animal
begins to improve give Condition
^powders, 1 tablespoonfnl every 4
’ hours for several days.
• I have lost heavily iu the last few
I years with this disease aud in every
ii-y.Tinstance where I failed to doctor in
"'x. its hicipiency aud move the bowels,
, the animal died.
